43rd Day futility

43rd day of the nationwide lock-down, and the circumstances in nation seems to get worse. I have developed a compulsive behavior towards hygiene since the onset of increase in cases. COVID-19 affected cases in India has crossed 50,000 and over 1700 deaths nationwide, while MoHFW believes they have successfully flattened the curve, with all time high cases reported positive yesterday. Certainly the graph below looks flat, no questions raised at sanity of the department.

Amidst Corona outbreak, the news of death of 4 soldiers of 21 RR and a police SI in Kupwara district has infuriated the whole nation. Even more infuriating are the terrorist sympathizers who stand in support of Hizbul leaders. The supporters of pro-independent Kashmir in disguise of human right activism are the admirers of Hizbul terrorists like Burhan Wani. Now that the successor of Burhan, Riyaz Naikoo was killed in gunfight, the same people are raising questions on Army’s operation in the state. Islamic militants funded by Pakistan polarize the mob with intent to disrupt the harmony of state. Our army has successfully eliminated 4 terrorist in the 24 hours. People shall understand that terrorists should not be glorified.

The leak of gas can cause serious death toll, as we have learned from the Bhopal Gas tragedy. Similar disaster happened in Vizag today, where poisonous gas leak killed 10 people and affected about 5000 people. In Bhopal gas tragedy, it was UCIL and Methyl Isocyanate, in Vizag it’s LG Polymer industry and Styrene. Visuals of casualty across the 2 km radius of the factory is on twitter and it’s disturbing to watch. Although a team of NDRF has been deployed in the region, casualties are increasing with each hour passing.

Meanwhile in this lock-down, i have developed a keen interest in chess. Chess is definitely a top-tier game, and certainly not as easy as the rules. Even if one is accustomed with the rules, tricks, and tips, the whole game requires unmitigated patience. As the famous sayings of chess legend, Bobby Fischer goes -

Chess is a war over the board. The object is to crush the opponent’s mind.

“ Chess, like love, like music, has the power to make men happy” are the quotes by a famous chess player. Chess is addictive.

Also in another verse with people having 3rd world problems like naming their kids, interesting news of Elon Musk naming his kid X Æ A-12 Chris Musk. If we just neglect the cipher, the name is still weird. The reasons provided by Grimes, are much rather interesting. They have named their kid on certain levels with X as unknown variable, Æ Elven for AI, A-12 precursor to SR-71 their favorite aircraft. When world believed in Elon to bring innovation to world, certainly no one ever imagined it would be this. Let’s agree name’s quite dope like the weapon in PuBG. While Elon and Grimes were having a robot as a baby ( Come on, he’s Elon Musk), DPRK cheif Kim Jung Unn faked his death in order to expose traitors around him. Kim is definitely watching too much Pavitra Rishta in Korean subtitles. My days in lock-down are less strenuous physically, more of a vagrant mentally. I spend a significant amount of time on TV series and movies. Last night, watched a movie about Stalin, The Death of Stalin ( It’s available on prime), where the series of incidence post Stalin’s death are depicted in a rather comical facet and how Khrushchev became the secretary of the Communist party of Soviet Union.
