Friendships are subjective for everyone. People have several definitions of friendship. Some want the exclusive entitlement from the other, while most look for the solace in the company of that true friend one can talk about anything. Netflix has several movies on friendship — Tag, Alpha, Harry Potter series, The Kissing booth 2, Kuch Kuch Hota hai, New York, Friends with Benefits, Ted, The Intern, Karwaan.
One day over conversation, we decided to do something productive along with having fun. So on that note, we figured out starting an Instagram with beautiful graphics on movie plots and reviews in short could be amazing. Although the execution never happened but we watched some of the amazing movies over the time on Netflix. If you want to watch the movies and don’t have the will to search and browse through the vast library of Netflix, here we provide you with the options. SPOILER ALERT- Read the story plot on your own risk.
- FIREFLY LANE -
Firefly is about two friends who grew up together in a different ecosystem in a remote place — Firefly Lane. The Tully Hart, a famous celeb who lives in LA among other celebrities. She has a glam life; along with her drug addict activist mother. Whereas Kate has been a part of traditional white family with a sober mother and a spoilt brother. Kate is struggling to start her new innings as a professional working at a news agency after her divorce. Her Daughter admires Tully to whom she often complaints about her boring life and sulking mother.
In subsequent episodes, Kate’s husband approaches Tully as a rebound and while she recollects her past dreaded with wretched disturbing moments, it describes how Kate and Tully became friends after that one secret they decided never to let anyone know about Tully, The whole movie transcends with flashbacks from the pasts. One from her teen years when Tully moved to Firefly lane and other when they used to work Together for editor Ryan O’neal. They showed Kate’s brother, a gay in a traditional white family which was pointless till episode 2 and he ends up joining the navy for overseas operations. He is still gay contrary to the fact he served in toxic national force ecosystem.
2. 2 GUNS -
2 Guns feature Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in a classic two guy comedy tale much like Harold and Kumar of Thriller action. The movie begins with both Denzel and Wahlberg meeting at diner which they set on fire for some entre. They both are undercovers trying to nab the Mexican Drug Lord Papi el Greco. They plan a bank heist to set a trap for Papi. In the whole movie, they both are seen moving around places in different cars — Corvette, Lincoln, and Mustang. Both of them have a different plan, one’s working for DEA meanwhile other’s working for the Navy. After the bank heist, their self interest persuades one to betray the other and Wahlberg runs away with the money. Other cast in the movie are Paula Patton, Bill Patton, James Marsden, and other notable artists suited for the adventure thriller.
Apparently the movie was way away from reality but a packed Wahlberg entertainer with intermittent comical scenes. If you are looking for a light entertainer with gun action that makes no sense, sure this is a nice movie on Netflix.
3. TO ALL THE BOYS ALWAYS AND FOREVER -
The third and probably last of the series is the follow up story of Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky from Adler High School, when they get into college and wait for the life ahead. While Peter gets into ivy stanford Lara jean does’t. She struggles to make her choice — at first she wishes to be in Stanford unfortunately heer application gets rejected but she gets into UCLA, about an hr from Peter’s college. Later as the movie follows the kids went to a tour to New York city where she fells in love with the city life and the college and faces dilemma whether to choose NY or LA because certainly thta will affcet the relationship both had. So she tells about her dilemma and that sets a low point in the relationship. There are a few beautiful moments in the movie and rekatabke — like sharing Oasis playlists on spotify, writing in each other’s year book. And then the PROM night arrives She finds herself distant from Peter already. The night they decide to fornicate like a prom ritual, they end up fighting for Lara Jean’s choice. There another story of LJ’s dad getting married again proves to be deciding and the last chapter of the movie. As every cute chic flick, this romantic part comes to a beautiful ending of promises they both make to each other. Movie has good music from the start.
